Hello there. My name is Donnacha O’Maille. Welcome to my blog. This is where I hope to explore the interaction between the arts, culture, business and the internet in Ireland. I have had an interest in the arts in Ireland all my life, and have written about the subject extensively for many years. Through this blog I would hope to firstly put a selection of some of the material I have written in the past back into the public domain. And second, to bring my interests in arts, culture, business and technology together, and to, I suppose you could say, see what happens. As we look back on the older articles, we can view some of the material with a certain amount of nostalgia and glee, while many other items appear as a matter of record and hopefully will document an art market, and indeed a country and a people undergoing change. Some of the older items like the ‘Collectors Corner’, are in general, and I emphasize ‘in general’, still fresh enough to present today to an audience and a readership with an interest in learning about the basics of fine arts, antiques, collecting and investing. Hopefully they can be…
A selection of old newspaper articles aimed at collectors of antiques, fine arts and antiquarian items.

I sell old maps and prints related to Ireland …. sometimes! Here, I write about my obsession and my love of old media.
